Zvika Hadar (born April 7, 1966) (Hebrew: צביקה הדר‎) is an Israeli actor, comedian and television host.

Biography

Zvi (Zvika) Fruchter (later Hadar) was born in Beersheba, Israel, to Romanian Jewish family.[1] As a child, he studied piano.[2] Early in his career, he composed numbers for musicals.

He first appeared on television as "Jojo" in Ha-Comedy Store. He was the host of Kokhav Nolad, the Israeli version of Idol since 2003 for nine consecutive seasons in addition to a number of other shows. He has also acted in a number of Israeli movies including starring in Afula Express.

Awards and nominations

In 1999, he was nominated for Best Actor award at the Awards of the Israeli Film Academy for his role in Afula Express.

In 2005, he was voted the 37th-greatest Israeli of all time, in a poll by the Israeli news website Ynet to determine whom the general public considered the 200 Greatest Israelis.[3]
